Librarians ride around on bikes loaded with books and park in a designated park at a designated time to give\u00a0kids free\u00a0books. Their logo is:<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"editor_spaced\"><span class=\"editor_uppercase\">Delivering books and a love of reading in Cambridge, ma.<\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>Their\u00a0VISION:<\/p>\n<p>All children in Cambridge will have access to quality\u00a0literature to build home libraries for enjoyment and\u00a0learning outside of the academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Their\u00a0MISSION:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Book Bike supports healthy bodies and healthy\u00a0minds by visiting many of the Cambridge parks that\u00a0participate in the Summer Food Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Meeting families in the park for stories and activities,\u00a0the Book Bike models that reading is fun!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The program empowers children of all ages to choose\u00a0their own free book, selected by literacy professionals\u00a0to encourage reading in summer months. \u00a0Books\u00a0include a wide variety of titles, topics and languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Book Bike connects families to other programs that\u00a0support summer reading in Cambridge including the\u00a0local public library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What can be better &#8211; to combine exercise (at least for the librarians) and book reading, as well as being in a park on a beautiful sunny day.
